  • Natural Deodorant

Part of your daily cleansing routine usually involves using a commercial deodorant or an antiperspirant. Some of the key ingredients featured in these products are aluminum and parabens, that have been correlated to different health conditions, Alzheimer’s and kidney disease. Research suggests some parabens may interfere with the way your body produces and regulates estrogen and other hormones. Deodorants reduce bacteria using chemicals that kill bacteria called antimicrobials. They also use fragrances to mask the odor. Antiperspirants use ingredients like aluminum to reduce sweat release from the eccrine sweat glands, thereby limiting the amount of secretion in the armpit area. They block your pores from sweating. Sweating is a natural cooling mechanism of the body that helps regulate body temperature. Natural handcrafted deodorants are typically free from harsh chemicals such as aluminum, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. By choosing natural alternatives, you can minimize your exposure to these potentially harmful substances. The benefit of all natural deodorant is that it helps to eliminate unwanted odor while still allowing your body to sweat; its natural cooling mechanism. All Natural deodorant contains plant based skin friendly ingredients and essential oils to help control sweat and odor, allowing the body to cool down naturally.

  • Why Organic?

Natural means no artificial or synthetic ingredients. Organic means those natural ingredients have been grown and produced without using any synthetic or chemical ingredients such as pesticides. Organic handcrafted soaps are a superior choice in your skincare routine, because all of the ingredients are naturally sourced, free of neurotoxins that have the potential to damage your brain and cells. Their benefit is to cleanse and moisturize our skin. This is in contrast to soap that is mass-produced, sprayed with harmful pesticides and harvested using chemical extractions that transfer to the finished product and absorbed by your skin. Our main soap making ingredient is organic extra virgin olive oil. Extra virgin is, the oil is removed from the first pressing of the fruit of the olive, not the kernel or the pit. This process does not involve heating, solvent extraction or any other chemical process. Olive oil is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes that are important for looking and feeling your best. Olive oil has a lot of antioxidants, as well as vitamins A and E, which are good for your skin. It's also high in beta carotene, a healthy component that helps to promote new cell growth and make your skin look younger and brighter. . The ingredients used in natural soap making have a significant impact on the lather. By using organic all-natural ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil and castor oil, sustainable palm oil, natural soap makers can create a moisturizing lather that helps the body retain its natural oils even after cleansing. These oils also provide nourishment to the skin, making it look healthy and radiant. .

  • Handcrafted Soap vs. Commercial Soap

Most commercial soaps are not marketed as real soap. Rather, these products are commonly advertised as beauty bars, moisturizing bars, or body bars, but not “soap” in the actual sense of the term. Commercial soaps are typically made with a variety of synthetic ingredients, such as detergents, surfactants, and lather boosting agents. Detergent cleansers are popular because they are more cost effective. They create suds easily in water and are made in large quantities. However, these detergent-based products (despite some being marketed as "soap") are not true soap according to the regulatory definition of the word. A true soap requires a combination of lye and oils, without the addition of synthetic cleaners. Real, natural soaps are not only free from harmful, synthetic detergents, but are also nutritional for the skin and a healthy alternative to these detergent-based commercial bars. Handmade soaps are far more biodegradable than their man-made counterparts. They are also considered environmentally friendly as no pesticides and chemicals are used in their formation.

  • What is Handcrafted Soap?

WHAT IS HANDCRAFTED SOAP Handcrafted soap is soap in its’ true and most pure form. True soaps are the result of a chemical reaction between a vegetable or animal fat, water and food grade lye. You cannot have true soap without lye! In the finished process of this chemical reaction, it forms soap and glycerin with no lye remaining in the soap. This reaction is called “saponification”, the process of making soaps. What is food grade lye? Food grade lye is specifically manufactured for use in food preparation and is regulated to ensure purity and safety for consumption. It is used to cure olives and dip pretzels. By dipping the dough before baking in the lye solution, it gives the traditional German pretzel their characteristic salinity, chew and smooth mahogany exterior. Long ago making lye was by allowing wood ashes to seep into the water, resulting in a lye solution. This process is also known as "potash," which comes from the method of soaking ashes in a pot. Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture on your skin. It is like a natural lotion in the soap. Glycerin is a natural byproduct of the soap making process. Most commercial soaps have their glycerin removed to create other products such as moisturizing lotions. With true handcrafted soaps, the glycerin remains and the end result is a mild soap that nourishes the skin. For Your Glory® Handcrafted Soaps are created with only quality natural ingredients. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is our main ingredient.  Each batch is personalized with additional organic plant oils, nut butters and seed extracts, bringing the desired characteristics to the finished bar.
